Your information is not sold (because it is more valuable to keep for ourselves), however, it may shared with advertising platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, or Linked in order to create effective marketing campaigns. In the case of disclosing emails to third-party advertisers, emails are usually hashed before they are submitted to these advertising platforms. As a result, these platforms don't learn anything about you unless you are already a member of their service using the same email.
