This policy applies to the domains robertelder.org, blog.robertelder.org and any other associated web property owned and operated by Robert Elder Software Inc. hereafter referred to as 'applicable domains'.
What Data Is Collected?
During your use of the applicable domains, information about you may be directly or indirectly collected. The collection of this information includes, but is not limited to: generic information about visit time, IP address, web browser type, etc. In addition to passively collected information, the applicable domains also offer various email subscription lists, purchase forms and other interfaces where you may submit other personal information to us.
Various services offered by applicable domains, may include additional forms which collect information about you that is stored on our servers. Examples of data we collect include email addresses and names to support mailing list subscriptions where you explicitly provide your email address to us.
In addition to the aforementioned collected information, applicable domains also employ industry-standard tracking, ad re-targeting and web analytics such as facebook.com's tracking pixel and google.com's Google analytics. For up to date about what information is collected by these services, please consult the terms of service of the respective services.
Cookies are also used in many different forms by various advertising and analytics features of the applicable domains.
How Is Your Data Used?
Any information collected may be viewable by employees, contractors, or authorized third-parties of Robert Elder Software Inc. in the pursuit of conducting normal business activities. For example, emails must be disclosed to third-party bulk mailing services (such as Amazon Inc.) in order to communicate with you via email. Other third-parties such as Facebook or Twitter offer 'custom audience' ad targeting that allows advertisters to bulk upload hased email addresses. These advertising methods are actively employed by Robert Elder Software Inc.
Your information is not sold (because it is more valuable to keep for ourselves), however, it may shared with advertising platforms including, but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, or Linked in order to create effective marketing campaigns. In the case of disclosing emails to third-party advertisers, most upload formats accept hashed email addresses, so these platforms don't learn anything new about you unless you are already a member of their service using the same email, or if they obtain your email from elsewhere.
You should expect that any and all information provided by you passively or explicitly will be used to create targeted advertising toward you, unless a prior agreement explicitly prohibits such use.
